Reverse Schedules

suck. I was out of it in government. I don't really even remember what we were watching cause my mind was still asleep.

I'm starting to seriously learn Classical Gas on guitar, not the cheap version I know. It's really hard to break old habits that I have with playing it. I'm also trying to learn Rondo Alla Turca. But there's no way I'll ever be able to play it fast enough that I'll be satisfied, so we'll see how far I get.

I'm really bored right now. I want to practice piano, but Mom is sleeping. I don't want to go back to school until track. I don't have any homework (wow I know).

I forgot to finish this. Track time.

Post

So much for posting every day. Indoor is cool. I don't regret that I'm doing it, but I miss musical. I really do. I tore some muscle in my shoulder the first day of indoor (that sucked) and then I pulled my quad on Friday running the 400 and 300m time trials. I'm pretty unhappy how much it hurts to walk, but it's getting better every day.

I didn't do ANY homework yesterday. It was great. Except now I'm going to be doing homework for the rest of the night. Only one more week I guess. Except we're going to get a bunch of AP English work over the break. Come on Mrs. Fielding. I thought I'd never get senioritis. But I really did. I never want to do any work anymore.

I'm kind of annoyed my amp hasn't sold yet, I'm about to just put it on Craigslist. I probably won't be able to sell it for as much though.

Must finish this so I can go do homework.

Hey!

Quantum of Solace was just fine. Shut it! I actually thoroughly enjoyed it. It's not really a bond movie, but it was a good action movie.

I'm really just blogging again to avoid doing my physics. I was playing some guitar, but I need to save my fingers for English tomorrow. Must NOT forget my guitar. That would suck. Ah damn. I need to read an essay for tomorrow too. But this is when I usually start my much larger amount of homework on school nights so I should be fine.

I think I have a junk food headache. I've been eating really unhealthily since XC ended. I should probably start eating well again before indoor. All I've had today is...a cinnamon bun, a brownie, a bucket of movie pop corn, some bacon and waffles and a glass of milk. Eww. I'd be pissed if I was my body too.

I should really be getting to my homework. Hmm. No. I'm going to go practice for English.

Bad Day.

Just a bad day overall. Had to wake up early (not really, but it feels early when I don't sleep enough( ((not early at all actually)), then my parents were gone so I couldn't do anything when people were available, then they got home and my mom took a nap so I couldn't play guitar which I was just about to do, then I relentlessly called/texted people to see if anyone could do something, and they couldn't. Now it's too late, and I can't do anything tonight. Just.... lots of little bad things that add up.

I really want to talk to someone. But no one is answering their phone. It sucks.

*end angry/upset post for the month.

I Should

start blogging again now that I'll have some time with XC over. I just finished my AP paper and I don't really feel like going to bed yet. When I was doing my other English stuff I was idly watching National Treasure: Book of Secrets. That's actually not a bad movie.

So, I just replaced all of the cheap plastic pieces on my guitar with tusq ones. I'm really pleased with the new sounds it can make. Still doesn't sound like a Martin or anything. But for 200 +20 for the nut and saddle, it's a wonderful guitar.

I'll start small.

States.

Meh. The 7th/last night was pretty good... - the puking my guts out part. Actually it was really good - the whole sick thing.

Today wasn't as much. It was just too hot. It felt like friggen august. My skin's still really hot from the race and I think I'm about to throw up again. It's wonderful.
Yeah...my race was ok. I ran a 17:51, which wasn't as good as I expected. But it's still a 3 second PR. I actually ran my 2 mile PR in the race as well. 11:01 for my 2 mile split. Sweet. Unfortunately my first mile was about 30 seconds off of my mile PR.
I know I was really strong my first two miles. I ran my first one right beside Andy and my second one right behind him. When I hit my third mile I died hard though. My caffine headache kicked in and my side started aching. I mean whatever. I still ran a PR. This race just isn't the way I'd choose to end my season if I actually had the choice. I mean...I'm going to footlocker in 2 weeks. I'll most likely run a really good race there.

mmph. I can't complain. I'm just going to go take some advil and try to do my homework.

Zach is...

still cold actually. But it was cool to see Obama in person. I made eye contact with him and we had a moment haha. Overall it was pretty cool to get out of school and drive across town and chill literally at JMU. There were a couple of groups of "non partisan" informants. And some guys walking around with signs calling Obama a socialist. Whatever.

Ap English was actually pretty awesome today with only 8 people in it.

Hm.

Finish my homework time. Then fun?

Obama.

So. I'm getting an excused absence today to go see Obama. Pretty awesome. Sucks for the choir people who aren't allowed to go. It's just city county...like really? Oh well. I'm layered in under armor. Like I have 2 under armor tops and then a cheap one, and those dolphin tights I got in 8th grade and jeans and a sweatshirt and a cow jacket. Yeah. I'm still gonna be cold. It'll be worth it. I talked to Hook this morning. He was like I'm glad you're going, it'll do you more good than being in my class. That's comforting.
Right now I'm sitting around doing nothing on these really nice computers because I already did my homework.

I'm REALLY bored. REALLY BORED REALLY BORED. I actually just enjoy typing with this keyboard. It's heavenly, if a little too small. It sounds like scurrying little mice. The school is going to be so empty after second block, it's already pretty empty.

Bored!
Bored!
Bored!
Bored!

When do you choir people get home? Like at a decent hour?

Ok. AP English time. Fun!! Nothing to distract me unfortunately.

Sleep?

What's this sleep business?

Saturday, October 11, 2008

Well.

My race pretty much sucked today. But it's cool. Really. Parker was probably the only one to have a good day. Most people were average at best. 18:43? Eh. That's not so good. Harrisonburg got third. If I'd passed those 3 JF guys about 20 seconds in front of me we would have gotten second. My bad.
I really feel like I just got hit by a steam roller last night. My whole body is sore. Pecs, shoulders, biceps, triceps, quads, calves especially. Once I finished my race I felt all of my old injuries again too. Knees, ankle, hips, shins, heel. It was just ugly.

Bleh. Homework.

Friday, October 10, 2008

Zach Fichter

is going to school soon. Blah. I really need a break. I guess that'll come when XC is over though. I've been getting a short reprieve because I'm getting so little short time homework, but still.

Saturday, October 4, 2008

I

actually had a really successful race. I didn't have a good race really. I mean I ran a 12 second PR, but I could have gone faster. I can always go faster. It's going to be awesome if we can get 6 runners under 18 at these post season meets. I know we won't at HHS because the course is so slow, but regional and states yes. I really appreciate the way Andrew runs with me. Seriously, he's close to the best racing partner ever. I got cut off and forced behind a really slow pack, and I looked up and he was cutting holes in the pack for me getting me spaces to move. And to pay him back I drag him along through the first two miles. I really hope he goes to post season.

Hm.

So I'm going to homecoming tonight. Fun hopefully? I think it will be for once.

Fail

Epic Fail

Fifty

ith post.

I'm slowly working at my physics lab. I'm still feeling side effects of getting too hot yesterday, but not as bad. No where near as bad as Burtner. I managed to run a 5 second PR, making me the first varsity member to PR this year.

Maymont itself was pretty fun. My room was relatively boring, but at least it means I got sleep, until Zach turned off the AC and turned on the heat. Grrr. It was a good weekend. I'm happy about it. Although I'm kind of pissed off about my race. In the most non-sexist way, I race like a girl now. And it makes me angry.

Aight...I'm going to go hang out with someone? and do my phsyics lab,

Decisions.

I think I'm going to run indoor track this year. (flame shield up)
I don't know. I feel like it'll be more fun, I'll be more successful, and I'll be with my actual best friends like Andy and Anthony and Keith. Musical would be cool. I'd get a fancy award for doing 5 harrisonburg plays, but I don't really give a damn about awards anymore. I'm still not entirely sure, but I'm getting closer and closer to deciding indoor every day. I'm going to try out for musical regardless of what I choose. Maybe I'll get a really good role, but most likely not. The peak of my acting career has been YCTC 2008 Hamlet, and I know for a fact Hello Dolly will not top that. Why not just do indoor?
I just can't help feeling bad. Mr. Swartz has put a lot of faith in me, and I've been a strong member of the program since 9th grade. If I end up doing indoor, I'll probably try to help in some way by building or whatever. Meh. Still feel bad.
When I really think about it, where are my best memories from high school? Seussical. XC 2005, XC 2006, Outdoor 06, XC 2007, Outdoor o7, Beauty and the Beast maybe, Outdoor 08, XC 2008. I'm not much of a musical theatre person. In high school I'm more of a runner than anything. I guess I first started thinking about this stuff in AP English when we had to draw that thing that kind of represented us. I was trying hard to decide between running shoes, and a guitar.

This is probably one of those posts that's like...what I've been trying to avoid. Whatever.

Tuesday, September 23, 2008

Yay

Bani and I are going to get our own beds at Maymont! Awesome! Zachmac offered to sleep on the floor, so I was like yeah sure if you don't mind. That'll be fun.

I had a pretty not good day. But it got better.

Sunday, September 21, 2008

Oatlands

was pretty good. It was the first race I went into feeling like crap and made the race into a decent one. I ran an 18:54 which is tied with my best ever. But still isn't that good. I'd rather be running low low low 18's not high ones. But I know I can go faster, so I'll just keep working. We'll see what happens at Broadway wednesday.

Friday was excellent really. Good school, good practice, good game, good night.

Hm. that's all.

Wednesday, September 17, 2008

I lolled. Not gonna Lie

Yay

I had a pretty good race today. Came in 5th. My time wasn't that good -19:45- but the course was slow anyway. I was something like 18 seconds behind Andy, Keith and Parker, which makes me feel pretty good. Even if they were relaxing, I was too. I actually managed to beat Bani too. I guess that's a law of the course now. Zach must beat Bani. It's happened every time at the same place. We got 2,3,4,5,6. Win. Epic and total win.
So that's 5 in front of Rockbridge's 1 and 5 in front of Draft's 2. At least.

Hmmm happy happy happy. Don't hear that one very often. I've had a good week so far though. I'm icy hotting my knee and doing homework, and then going out to do theory.

More posts later.

I Don't Feel Like...

doing my literary analysis quite yet. I actually just don't feel like finding a 150 word excerpt. I wouldn't mind doing it if I had one. She said to just google it, and I googled it, and I can't find it. I did all my homework though, so I get a 15 minute break because I say so. I'm actually practicing theory right now, so I'm technically doing homework.

SO.
Cross Country meet today. Started out flirting with first. DIED. Became 11th. Licked my wounds. Came back. Passed 2 people. Finished 8th with 9th 45 seconds behind me.

It was a lot more complex than that, and a lot less. I went out like I was used to going out in track, at a comfortably fast pace. Keith and I got stuck behind these three RE Lee guys who were going slow. I got annoyed and passed them and Keith followed. Chaos ensued. I stuck with that pack of Andy, Keith and Bani for the first mile, and then dropped off cause I couldn't breathe and I was exhausted from running a 5:37 first mile. Fastest first mile I've ever ran. I then proceeded to lick my wounds and run a 7:03 second mile. Not my best moment. Bair was yelling for me to race, and I was like no.....no race...can't breathe. That second mile was kind of weird. It didn't exist. Then I recovered a little bit, and started chasing down the people that had passed me. I got 1 of them right off. The other one took me about 1000 meters. I slowly worked up on him until he gave up and told me to pass him. I did and got an adrenaline rush. It was pretty awesome. Raced the whole last 600 meters and ran a 6 something mile. Don't feel like doing the math. Semi negative splits. Cool. Except my knee really aches right now.

Sorry for the wall of text.

I'm going to go do my english now.

Monday, September 8, 2008

Mmk.

I died hard at practice today. I was fine throughout the entire workout, and then on the last 100m of one of the 400's I ran out of breath and like...died.

It really kind of sucked.

I'm going to go take a shower now, and do homework.

not feeling to great.

Looks Like...

my blog has gone back to one of it's first uses. I'm currently in the middle of writing my essay for AP English. Except I'm taking a break from writing, to write some more. Hm.

Classes are going well for me. AP English is pretty cool.

AP music theory is awesome...but I never want to do any other homework, and the class is really stressful because I'm so far behind everyone else and I like...have to think out loud in front of everyone. I don't like being flat out wrong in front of people and then being made to work through my process until I find out what I did wrong and fix it. I mean, I'm glad he's doing that, I really am, but it makes me feel REALLY uncomfortable. Hell, maybe that's a good thing.

Physics so far is....boring. Mr. Jackson is cool. But all we've done is significant figures, and disprove one of Aristotle's ideas. I learned how to do this in like...well a long time ago just from having science teachers for parents and being interested in physics. I mean I was doing Lizzy's homework last year 8 weeks into the class without being in the class. Hmph. I just wish we could do harder stuff. But it seems like we won't for at least 8 weeks.

Gov is pretty cool. I mean. It's like being in a regular class it's so easy. There's almost no homework and what homework we do get is spelled out for us. Hm. Interesting stuff though. Current events, not government. I hate government.

XC is going okish. yeah okish.

mmk back to my paper.

Lol cat

This is from the book Mrs. Fielding gave us. I couldn't resist. Poor cat.

Feeling Off.

Which is weird because I ran with Andy and Keith and Dan today for the warm up. Now it was only 20 minutes. But it was easy to keep pace with them. I think they were holding back. But we also dropped Bani and Andrew, so maybe not. Idk. Ultimate was pretty good today. Oh. Before that. I stepped on a rock funny and twisted my ankle. It's cool though. It aches a little right now, but it's really not that bad.

Everyone is leaving for college, and school starts on Monday. Fun. I'm pretty sad that Ben is leaving, because I sure as hell don't have anyone else to jam with. Most of my camp friends have left already. Jessica left, even though she's still here. Julia doesn't leave for a while though, so we're probably going to go see a show.

I'm now officially Mr. Healy and Mr. Moyer's assistant. That'll be a good block. School isn't going to be too bad this year really...unless I just don't click with music theory which is entirely possible, but unlikely. AP english is going to suck. But it happens. Hm. It's started to semi feel like fall these past two days at practice. I actually got a little chill down my back where the sweat had been running when we pushed into the woods. Then of course when we played Ultimate I thought I was going to have a heat stroke. I don't do heat. As you all know.

I'm kind of pissed off I don't want to play electric guitar anymore. I walk into my room, admire the PRS hanging out my wall, pick it up, sigh and put it down. I just can't play electric right now, it feels weird. I play acoustic all the time though. I'm also kind of pissed off I don't like running anymore. I just do it because I've always done it. This is probably going to be a good season for me. But still....I used to like going out on distance runs, and now I don't. I think I'm just tired of the area. Meh.

I'm hungry.

Monday, August 18, 2008

Hum.

Kelley and Tilney are still here. Yay. I'm a lot happier than I've been in a few days which is cool. They're leaving around 3 today when I go to XC practice. It feels like my day is just starting way later because I used to go to XC really early and then go to work right after, now I'm going to practice at 3 and then work at 5. Or whenever practice ends.

Hum.

I'm not really excited about the first day of school at all. Late arrival...Ap English, Chemistry, and Government. Fun day. But there is still the rest of this week off before I have to go to school. So. I'm going to go...not waste it.

Patterns in Ivy

Hm. I purchased guitar pro v5.2 last night, well, my parents did, and I'm in love with it. I've composed 3 semi songs since last night and I've downloaded like 50 tabs. The program makes it way easier to learn songs. I don't even know why. I guess it's helpful to be able to hear it at any tempo and stuff. Anyway. It's cool. I've learned 3 songs I failed to learn in the past already.

I'm still talking to people from camp everyday, which is good. Julia and I talked a long time last night, and I talked to Elena while she was packing for college, and talked to Tilney for a little to. It's good to keep in touch. It's cool that I'm talking to Van Ness through facebook too. He's cool. I underestimated him.

I had to skip XC this morning because I'm exhausted. It's annoying how easily I get tired out, but then again I've done a lot of heavy work in the past couple of days.

Mark and I are going to the rifle range tomorrow, that'll be fun, and on Saturday Kelley and Tilney and Jon are coming over to stay a few days. That'll be really cool.

Good day. I played with photoshop and guitar pro. I can give people sheet music now. Ben, I'm going to tab out that thing we use for no one like you, because I love it. Thank you for being amazing, and I'm not being sarcastic. The two of us make some damn good music.

Home.

I'm finally home. I really miss camp. Like that's an understatement. I physically hurt for camp. It sounds stupid maybe....but I do.

I'm not going to rant or try to sound all philosophical and shit because that's not what this blog is for. That's what my old one was an attempt to do. A failure too. Well not really. I tried to sound philosophical and shit, but it's funny reading the posts.

These past three weeks and especially the last 2 days of camp were the best and worst I've probably ever felt at the same time. You learn that as an actor at the Blackfriars. How to take advantage of swinging emotions. Kinda like the higher you rise the harder you fall. Except not really. I don't know. I probably sound stupid right now. I was as happy as I could get, which left the room for me to be as sad as I could get. Pretty cool psychology stuff.

Anyway. I needed to get out tonight. So I went and saw Dark Knight with my dad. Holy shit that's a good movie.

I go now. XC practice tomorrow. and work.

Last Two Days of Camp.

Ugh. That makes me kind of really sad. I'm not going to go into details. But I'm actually kind of upset right now.

So instead of sitting here on blogger, I'm going to go be with whoever is awake...unless it's Charlie. Actually. HELL I'll hang out with charlie.

Wednesday, August 6, 2008

Hmm.

Camp is really really good. Midnight rehearsal went late last night, and it took me forEVER to fall asleep last night. So I accidentally fell asleep during Menzer's lecture this morning. I actually managed to relax a little until Tilney hit me. Blah.

Going to go do lines now with my guitar.

Monday, July 21, 2008

Parts.

I got cast in Sybil's (sp?) play. I was really not happy at first, not because of Sybil, but the section of the play and the cast. But it turned out well after the first rehearsal.
I'm horatio, player king, player, ghost, etc etc. We have 5 different Hamlets. I have a lot of stage time, but not much speaking. Meh.

I'm going to go do my text stuff now.
hum.

Mmm.

Survived auditions. They were actually really really cool. Except Sybil and Jason were like.....studying me very closely. STOP LOOKING AT ME!!!!

I got a 4 on my AP exam. : \
I really wanted a 5.

We're about to have our first Menzer lecture of the session....so I'm going to go change and find a nail file.

Wednesday, July 16, 2008

Wonderful.

Just wonderful.

I Apologize.

To the band Ash. You actually do have some really good songs besides Clones. The clips were just bad.

I'm currently varnishing my bone pick. If this works, I'm making like 5 more. They are awesome.

Short posts suck, but they are better than nothing.

My dad and I got our new pistol today. Yes! Out to the rifle range tomorrow.

hm. Nothing really to say. Want to go play Frisbee golf, but also feeling very lazy.

Got new deodorant. Smells...weird.

Hmm.

Finished setting up Ben's Les Paul today. It's a pretty sweet guitar now. Not that it wasn't before. But now it's shiny and distracting.

I've been looking around for the band that did the song "Clones" around the time Starwars II came out and I finally found them.

Ash. Unfortunately. They only did like...one good song. Clones.

Going now. S

Sorry it's short.

Tuesday, July 8, 2008

Should Post.

Played more disk golf with Anthony today. Made some really impressive shots that were like...impressive and all. Got a slurpee at the ghetto 7/11 even though it was Tueday. The only machine that worked was the coke.

I really don't think I'm going to get up for practice tomorrow. I'm just going to run at some point in the morning. Not 6:30 though. Or maybe I will. It's nice getting up that early. But everyone is gone, so I think I'll be alone if I go at 6:30, so why not 8:30 or 9.

I got new goober shoes today. And new clothes too. I like.

going now. Short post.

Fail.

A Kid's Review
I'm so sick of people slamming Foreigner,Dire Straits which are the greatest bands and all they listen to is hugly lousy bands like Led Zeppelin,Pink Floyd,Rolling Stones,ACDC. Robert Plant is a huge joke of a singer, just cant sing and sounds more like a baby. I hate Led Zeppelin and they surely never made a good album. Foreigner were miles, miles better than Led Zeppelin and they have a great lead singer like Lou Gramm, why can't everyone sing a lot like him???? Avoid Led Zeppelin at all costs,go buy Foreigner's 4th album insted. Believe me, you will love one of the songs off that album. Led Zeppelin are huge loosers and meant for people with a very poor taste. Foreigner are winners and for people with good taste.

that kid has no life. He's commented on every Beatles, AC/DC, Sabbath, Zeppelin, Cream...well every album I decided to look at reviews for, and said the ssame thing. GnR IS SO MUCH BETTER THAN THE BEATLES!

Idiot. I don't care if he's serious or not. No taste. It's one thing to give serious reasons why you don't like a band. and another to just say they suck, or are over rated.

Friday, July 4, 2008

That's Cool

I was just listening to one of the recordings Ben, Joseph and I made today. It's cool how we switched guitars and I kept my settings as close to his as I could and he didn't change his. Me playing the Les Paul sounds just like me playing the PRS and same with Ben. I actually can't tell who's soloing sometimes now. That's cool too. We should definitely do that again soon, and record that Breaking Benjamin song, the recordings came out really well.

Still Can't Sleep

I didn't fall asleep till around 4:30 last night. This is getting really annoying. Four nights in a row now?
I'm just not tired. That's all there is to it. I'm tired during the entire day, but not at night. Humph!

I'm going to go sleep some. Then I have a guitar lesson.

Tuesday, July 1, 2008

At Least I Was Productive Last Night

I didn't fall asleep till around 8am or so this morning. MEH

but I did do this.

Can't Sleep.

Not even like...I'm tired but I can't really sleep. I'm wide awake. It's annoying. It's almost 5 in the morning. I've never stayed up this late and been this awake. It feels like 3 in the afternoon. Except that it's so quiet. I kind of want to just stay up until I get tired. I mean no point in only sleeping for like 3 hours. I might be able to get back on my sleep schedule if I stay up all night and then crash. Maybe hopefully. My shins hurt. They always hurt from around 2-6. I usually never noticed cause I'm not usually awake then...but every time I am they hurt. It's more of like...a dull ache. Like the ones I got when I was younger, just not as bad.

MEH! I want to sleep!

I'm going to go read now.

Morning.

-Zach.

Home

And really tired. It's like getting up at nine in Ca, when it's really twelve here. Oh well.

Couldn't sleep last night either...because I was going to bed at like...three Virginia time.

But now I'm home...and I think I'm going to play guitar. I did really good on my writing and reading SAT stuff but screwed math, so whatever.

-Zach

Sunday, June 29, 2008

Just landed in Dallas Fort Worth. Almost home.

Saturday, June 28, 2008

Hahahaha grandma said "whodat?!" really loud and sneaky like. Ahahah

SAT Scores

Just came out...and yet I can't access them. Apparently the log in I use for EVERYTHING is not the one I used for my SAT account. I used a different password, because you should do that...and I remember the password. But not the log in name. Dammit. Now I have to wait seven days because they still haven't sent me my log in details. It was like wait 20 mintues. 40 later...still not here. Tried a couple of times.

Anyway
I was watching George Carlin: It's Bad for Ya last night. Ahaha he's even funnier to me when he's talking about current things.
"Raising a kid is easy people. You take it out and leave it on a street corner. If you come back in a week and it's still there, ya got your self a stupid fucking kid............if not you go from there."
"I like people....-laughter-...I really do..."

He also did this thing on how to get out of one of those conversations you don't really want to be in.
"And I'm trying to think of something graceful to say to end the conversation, and all I can think of is 'SHUT THE FUCK UP SHUT THE FUCK UP SHUT THE FUCK UP SHUT THE FUCK UP' [in his George Carlin face] but we can't say these things.... : D"
I was laughing pretty hard.

He went on to talk about like..when people are showing pictures of their kids.
"tell the truth.....'wow...that fucker has got a fuckin' huge head! Jesus! How do you buy hats for it? Christ man....'"

If that show is on DVD I want it. Ah it comes out august 12th. So many things are coming out in like..the last quarter of 08. A lot of books and movies and amp models and stuff.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UNK2L8-V5dQ&feature=related I'd embed it if I could, but I can't copy the whole thing for some reason... it's worth watching. do it.

Hmm. I keep extening my session cause I don't wanna go back. It's my last day here, but that doens't make me wanna go back. When no one is here I can use youtube. It's wonderful. ZZ Top and stuff. Lynyrd Skynyrd's replacement singer is decent. I like the old one better though. But I guess that's kind of normal. At least he can sing. Hm. Lynyrd Skynyrd had some damn good songs. That Smell, Saturday Night Special. Stuff like that.

My log in stuff still hasn't come. I'll check when I get home, then just wait for the mail.

I have yet ANOTHER headache. Hopefully this is the last one. I'm plenty hydrated and stuff. Ah well. I'll have enough advil in my system tomorrow that I shouldn't get one even if I normally would. My ears still haven't completely recovered from the plane flight and I'm really kind of nervous about getting on 2 more planes. I guess I should do that...fancy...hot water cup ear thing if I even remember how to. Because really...I thought I was going to die on the first flight. And I thought my ear drum popped when the pressure finally equalized.

I'm afraid I'm going to finish my last book, so I'm avoiding reading it till later today. It'll be a long day if I don't have a book. Maybe I could find some thriller from a book store in the airport.

Oh hell. That's cool. That Smell Cover this is more for me than anything. But go ahead and watch it.

I guess I need to go back at some point. I'm getting hungry and Grandma said we're supposed to go out and do something. I blocked it from my memory because I really don't want to do it. So I don't remember what it is unfortuantely. Ah well.

Time to go I guess.

Thank You

To Camila and Andy for the F.U.C.K stuff. Really. I appreciate it. That would be awkward out of context.

I haven't let Grandma drive since she picked me up cause she is a crazy bad driver. She's been berating me about my wasting of gas....She drives like...well when we pull out of a stop light, she basically floors it. I get thrown against the back of the seat. When we stop...she SLAMS on the brakes. That. Alone. is bad for gas. But she's also super aggressive. I'm so much nicer...I'm gradual is my stops and accelerations.

I turned down a very nice Martin acoustic today. I'm going to wait until I can pay off a Taylor. It was nice. But not what I wanted. Zebra wood and stuff. Played like my electric guitars. Sounded a little on the quiet side. But just...meh. Those Taylors I played were magic. Better than all the Martin and Gibson guitars I played.

Hmm.

ALMOOST time to go. Getting up at like 6:30 sunday morning. So it's just the rest of today and tomorrow, and then home time! My shirt that I wore on the day of my traveling here smelled like smoke. Weird considering there's no smoking in airports or airplanes.

Hum.

The library is empty so I can extend my session some more. Nice. Although I'm not sure Grandma would be too happy about that.

I have another one of those nasty headaches. I think I get them from not yelling back at Grandma for some of the stuff she says. It's hard to hold in all of my teenage opinions when she says stuff that I absolutely do not agree with, but I need to just nod my head.

Nothing else to say. There never is when I actually get here. I had plenty earlier. I wish my texting thing could be more than 140 characters.

Wow. Lynyrd Skynyrd was just as good in the 90's as they were when they started. Impressive. Then again, the Who are just as good too.

I go now.
Know what my first thought was this morning? It's too hot. My second? Two more days.

The Thrill is Gone

Headaches do have a smell thankyouverymuch.

So. I had an awful headache the rest of yesterday. I REALLY needed to get out of the house. "Grandma, I'm going to go to Carl's Junior for lunch if that's ok."
"Well why Honey? There's no sense wasting perfectly good food...."
"I just need to get out for a little"
"But why, you're perfectly happy here."

NO I'M NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ugh.

"Remember kids....back hand=discipline forehand= abuse." ahahahaha

I like how I have 232 blog hits since I made it. It makes me happy. Even though that's pretty low compared to my 8000 or something on the other one.

Hmm I think I've read 9 books, well I'm on my 9th on this trip. 9 books in like...12 days. Nice. It's cause I have nothing else to do.

Grandma wouldn't let me drive down to Temecula yesterday bedcause the exit was super dangerous....it was like getting off onto Harrisonburg's exit. Jesus....the one in Charlottesville is WAYY worse. Humph!

I'm getting really tired of her phrases and lack of ability to swear... "ohh....OH FIDDLE!" Are you serious...
"6 one way half a dozen another." or when she's trying to say it fast "6fhasdfhasdfjdozen another"
"Fiddle Sticks"
"fish!"
"Oh Darn!"
"Dandy!"
"Fiddle!" my least favorite.
and so many others.
Fuck is such a stupid word. It means found under carnal knowledge, anyone who says that is an idiot. (This was an argument when I was watching Carlin.) "But it's evolved to mean other things..." It doesn't matter if it's evolved! It still means found under carnal knowledge. "But everyone accepts the fact that it means various other things now. But anyone who uses it doesn't know the history of the word and how to use it which makes them sound like a dummy!

Thanks for calling me a dummy grandma.

Hmm. I'm really itching for an acoustic guitar right now. But I'm not so desperate that I want any acoustic. I do want to play a relatively nice one. Mine will certainly do. My fingers are itching for that Taylor though. It worked in my hands. Fuckin' better for 3000.

Their cheapest real guitars are like 700$...that's crazy. But their quality equals Martin in most places and surpasses it on the lower end models. I like their sound more than Martin really. When I was in that bomb shelter of a room, I prefer ed every Taylor I played to every single Gibson, every single Breedlove, and all but one Martin. There was once nice Martin from the 80's.

Hum. Running out of time again. I might just renew my...time thingie here. Because I really don't want to go back. Then again, I've got a nice book waiting for me.

Hmm. I really will enjoy being home again and being able to run. It's actually cooled off here, but I'm going to get eated by mountain lions or something. I could MAYBE get used to it out here if...all the cars slowed the HELL DOWN or at least when I was driving with Grandma. Everything got a little greener, and the temperature dropped like 10 degrees. How do you make a degree symbol? Superscript o?
Mmk. Going now.

-Zach.

One of my favorite Trace songs. It took me like 6 hours to figure out how to play like 1/10th of it.
That man can play guitar.

Actually. This is better.

Kashmir and Lose Yourself. ahahahaa. Nice.

Hmph.

My ban on UG has almost been lifted. It's really annoying me that I got banned...still. It'll be gone like... 2 days after I get home.

Whoops. Forgot this window was open. I just have a little bit more time left. I finished my second to last book today, and I'm not really interested in the alst one. But grandma won't let me drive down to Temecula because it's too far, even though I've driven down to Corona twice. Hmph.

Hm. My hair smells good. That weird...creepy feeling...sunsilk stuff actually works pretty well...but it's obviously not designed for guys...it smells like flowers. Hmph. But it does smell better than that other stuff...that smells like headache. Seriously.

I hope Grandma will at least go with me in the car today so I can get books. Just 2 more. That will last me I think. I can finish one of the ones I want in the time it takes me to fly home. Between the flying and waiting anyway.
Ok. I'm hungry.

-Zach.

I can't run a 400 that fast...hell. I don't think I can run a 200 that fast.

About To Go See Ironman

I've finally decided that since I have NOTHING better to do, and there is a theater three miles away that I am going to go see ironman. But this is California. So it's going to be bloody expensive. Hopefully it will put an end to one of my remaining four days.

I've got to stay on the internet for the whole hour because I forgot my book and I don't want to risk waking Grandma up and the movie doens't start till 4:15. So here I'll stay. Unfortunately it's only slightly faster than dial up. So no youtube for me. I can still do pandora though, cause once it loads it's pretty fast. But it takes forever to load...

Andy. Did you look at Back Door Slam? I didn't ask you to, but I figure you might like them. Maybe, maybe not. Come Home is their best song probably.

Hah...the wires in these headphones are going. If I move the jack it cuts out, and if I move my head wrong it cuts out too. Ugh. But hey, it's music, and no Grandma to say it's bad music. Oh. Anyone. Is eating standing up bad for you? Grandma keeps telling me it is. But I think it's just to get me to sit down.

I'll bet I look really dumb jerking my head trying to get these headphones to work. As long as I keep it at a weird angle and don't move it, it's fine. Damn...lost it. Hmm... I don't really have much to say at all. So...

Still wasting time. Youtube is apparently a little faster today. Probably cause there aren't too many people here. Hm. Almost time to go to the movie.

Hm. Did you know Jimmy Page really used a Hiwatt gutiar amp to get his signature sound from like...69-71. It was modded to sound like a marshall...but still. Cool.
I miss my PRS...like crazy. That guitar is so well balanced. This ESP sits weird.

Hm. Led Zeppelin is so much better live than they are in teh studio...even though Page is relaly sloppy live. There are a couple of their songs I don't like on the album that sound great in videos.

All right. Leaving.

Monday, June 23, 2008

Hm.

Slightly cooler today with a pleasent temperature of 101 degrees. It's wonderful really. I almost needed a jacket when I got out of my grandma's Buick. Jesus!
Only 5 more full days here...6 more till I'm on a plane and home.

Everyone is so happy about having me here and I'm so polite and useful and I should come back every chance I get like christmas and thanksgiving. NO! I am not coming back by my own free will. No way in hell. Not alone. Hmph. I said I'd stop complaining though.

I do have some damn good books with me though, and when I get time to sit down and really read it's nice. I've finished 3 of my 6. I'm probably going to end up finishing 5 of them by saturday, so I'll have one for the plane flight. Perfect.

I was watching reruns on the history channel this morning while I was making my self breakfast. It was interesting. Card counting and counterfitting. I really do like the speaker system my Grandpa has set up, but alas I never get to use it because I listen to sin music and it makes peoples heads hurt. I like classical music, but I can only listen to so much before I need some Stevie Ray Vaughan or Led Zeppelin, or System of a Down. But nope. I have to wait till I'm alone in the car and can fish for radio stations.

As soon as I get back we're going to UPS to see how much it'll cost to ship those speakers. I'll bet it'll be an arm and a leg and in that case...oh well. I still have that second amp in my basement. I don't really need an amp in my room.

My timer is slowing running out of time. BLAH. I might as well go now. I'll bet my root beer sitting in the car has already gotten too hot to drink. Gotta find the keys first though.

The library is closed today. That's annoying. I want to check my email. This dog is driving me CRAZY. It's like 110 outside again. No running.

Library Internet

I'm using the library Internet which is limited to an hour, so I'm not going to say much.
I heard this really cool Jazz Fusion New York Club type band on the radio on the way to the fender museum and I can't find them online. Back Door something. Back Door Slam! Yes I just found it. Check them out. Friggen cool.

Any camp people who read this...what was that song that Elizabeth sang...and Greg played Sax....? That's all I remember. Except that it was Jazzy too.

Hmm the Fender museum was kinda cool. Not as cool as a personal tour of the factory. They didn't have any real guitars or amps. So damn good copies that I'll bet most people can't tell the difference from, but not the originals.

I've got to go back soon. I think I'm going to hide in a corner and read. Well. After I call my parents again. But I'll do that here in the parking lot. It's SO hot here. It's like 110 or something. Probably not that hot any more, but damn hot. Hmm I'm running out of time. But it's nice to just relax in the air conditioned room with computers. But the internet is SO slow. Oh by the way. Yeah. It's 108 degrees and 3:38 pm here. UGH.

8 more days total here....7 more till I get on a plane. Just one more week. Just so happens that it's a week of dealing with my Grandma with shingles. I don't blame her though. I'd be damn cranky too if I had shingles and had to take 6 pills for it. But still. It sucks to be me here too.

I should go now. Call my parents and then...go back to Grandma's. I might drop by Starbucks first though and get something. Well. Nah. I've got plenty of stuff at Grandma's.

~Zach.
The internet here is too slow to blog or check my email. Grandma won't listen to reason, and it's TOO HOT!!!
save me :(

Nothing Better To Do

Wow. Everyone is filthy rich here, or just in debt up to their ears. You must have to own a Mercedes to live in these neighborhoods or something because that's all I see. Mercedes and Lexus' and BMW's. There's also a "Fashion Island" which is a HUGE outdoor indoor fancy shopping mall surrounded by hotels. But it is pretty nice out here....

My grandma got shingles so that means this trip is going to be just that much more fun. But she's letting me have free reign with the car pretty much, which is nice. She's got onstar, so if I get lost I can at least use that. Maybe Onstar will call the police though when they say "Where would you like to go Mrs. Clay," and instead of hearing an elderly womans voice they hear my voice.

I'm surfing youtube just for the hell of it. It seems like I've watched every video I search for. I wish they had a random video option.

Hmm.

Blogger is about to have a power outage, so away I go.

Mira

Here's my new blog.... my old one is now under the link www.fessussum.blogspot.com
This one actually isn't that much different than the old one. But I wanted a new one. So here it is.

I'm eating bacon, eggs, toast, milk, and root beer right now. Sounds like a good breakfast to me. I'm going back to my grandma's today at around 7:30, so I'll get there around 8:30 or 9. That is the end of my easy internet access because I can only be on the library computers for an hour at a time. But I can like....go get on the computer...then read....then get back on it. Or go get tea and come back. Whatever.

I've got 4 books to last me through the rest of my time here, but unfortunately I don't think they are going to last me. I'm something like....160 pages into my first one, and they all are around 600 pages.

Hey, I might actually label my posts this time. I had like 300 posts on my old blog when blogger invented labels. That pissed me off so I tried to go back and label them all...and then I was like fuck it. Too many. I should have logged into beta blogger, or whatever the new blogger is and done my people list again, but I was too lazy, so I'll do it later. Or after I finish this post because this is the last day I will have teh internetz.

It's weird how much got deleted off of my previous blog when I changed the link. All the people got deleted and all of the tracked visitors.

I'm going to go do some blog editing now.

-Zach
