States.

Meh. The 7th/last night was pretty good... - the puking my guts out part. Actually it was really good - the whole sick thing.

Today wasn't as much. It was just too hot. It felt like friggen august. My skin's still really hot from the race and I think I'm about to throw up again. It's wonderful.
Yeah...my race was ok. I ran a 17:51, which wasn't as good as I expected. But it's still a 3 second PR. I actually ran my 2 mile PR in the race as well. 11:01 for my 2 mile split. Sweet. Unfortunately my first mile was about 30 seconds off of my mile PR.
I know I was really strong my first two miles. I ran my first one right beside Andy and my second one right behind him. When I hit my third mile I died hard though. My caffine headache kicked in and my side started aching. I mean whatever. I still ran a PR. This race just isn't the way I'd choose to end my season if I actually had the choice. I mean...I'm going to footlocker in 2 weeks. I'll most likely run a really good race there.

mmph. I can't complain. I'm just going to go take some advil and try to do my homework.

Fifty

ith post.

I'm slowly working at my physics lab. I'm still feeling side effects of getting too hot yesterday, but not as bad. No where near as bad as Burtner. I managed to run a 5 second PR, making me the first varsity member to PR this year.

Maymont itself was pretty fun. My room was relatively boring, but at least it means I got sleep, until Zach turned off the AC and turned on the heat. Grrr. It was a good weekend. I'm happy about it. Although I'm kind of pissed off about my race. In the most non-sexist way, I race like a girl now. And it makes me angry.

Aight...I'm going to go hang out with someone? and do my phsyics lab,

Yay

I had a pretty good race today. Came in 5th. My time wasn't that good -19:45- but the course was slow anyway. I was something like 18 seconds behind Andy, Keith and Parker, which makes me feel pretty good. Even if they were relaxing, I was too. I actually managed to beat Bani too. I guess that's a law of the course now. Zach must beat Bani. It's happened every time at the same place. We got 2,3,4,5,6. Win. Epic and total win.
So that's 5 in front of Rockbridge's 1 and 5 in front of Draft's 2. At least.

Hmmm happy happy happy. Don't hear that one very often. I've had a good week so far though. I'm icy hotting my knee and doing homework, and then going out to do theory.

More posts later.

I Don't Feel Like...

doing my literary analysis quite yet. I actually just don't feel like finding a 150 word excerpt. I wouldn't mind doing it if I had one. She said to just google it, and I googled it, and I can't find it. I did all my homework though, so I get a 15 minute break because I say so. I'm actually practicing theory right now, so I'm technically doing homework.

SO.
Cross Country meet today. Started out flirting with first. DIED. Became 11th. Licked my wounds. Came back. Passed 2 people. Finished 8th with 9th 45 seconds behind me.

It was a lot more complex than that, and a lot less. I went out like I was used to going out in track, at a comfortably fast pace. Keith and I got stuck behind these three RE Lee guys who were going slow. I got annoyed and passed them and Keith followed. Chaos ensued. I stuck with that pack of Andy, Keith and Bani for the first mile, and then dropped off cause I couldn't breathe and I was exhausted from running a 5:37 first mile. Fastest first mile I've ever ran. I then proceeded to lick my wounds and run a 7:03 second mile. Not my best moment. Bair was yelling for me to race, and I was like no.....no race...can't breathe. That second mile was kind of weird. It didn't exist. Then I recovered a little bit, and started chasing down the people that had passed me. I got 1 of them right off. The other one took me about 1000 meters. I slowly worked up on him until he gave up and told me to pass him. I did and got an adrenaline rush. It was pretty awesome. Raced the whole last 600 meters and ran a 6 something mile. Don't feel like doing the math. Semi negative splits. Cool. Except my knee really aches right now.

Sorry for the wall of text.

I'm going to go do my english now.
